His Purpose/Your Purpose
Isaiah 61:1 NKJV
“The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me, Because the LORD has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;

Jesus reads these Words in the temple, (Luke 4:18), written by the prophet Isaiah to the children of Israel. Jesus knows that these Words describe Him and His purpose.
Notice:
1. The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me.
2. The Lord has anointed Me to…
     a.) Preach good tidings to the poor.
     b.) Heal the brokenhearted.
     c.) Proclaim liberty to the captives.
     d.) Open the prisons doors to those who are bound.

Child of God, you might be asking, what is the application for the baptized born again believer today?
Jesus has given you spiritual gifts to be used for His glory and to share His story.
You have been given the position of being the light of the world and the salt of the earth, (Matthew 5:13,14).
Every day you encounter the sick, brokenhearted, oppressed, depressed, and possessed captives of the powers of darkness.
Open your mouth and share the anointed Word of the Scriptures with your catchment area.

Meditate on your purpose and calling.
Thank God that He gave you a purpose in Kingdom building.

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ,  (2 Corinthians 1:2 NKJV). Love ya Webster
