What We Live By
Hebrews 11:1 NKJV
11 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
The writer of Hebrews wants these Christians believers to understand their position in Christ obtain through their faith. This verse gives them a guideline.
Notice what he writes to them.
1. Faith is the substance,(confident assurance) of…
a.) The things they hope for.
2. Faith is the evidence of their conviction, (what they cannot yet see but are convinced of it).
Child of God:
What is the Holy Spirit saying to you the baptized born again believer today?
• You the baptized born again believer are to live by faith, (totally dependent upon God in every aspect of your life).
• You are to trust, (confident assurance), in what God has already done in eternity, (2 Corinthians 5:7).
• You the baptized born again believer are not ruled by what you see with the natural eye.
• This can be challenging during times of tribulations and trials.
• God is eternal and He has already performed in the spiritual before you see in the natural.
• Be confident that your times of testing will increase your faith, (confident assurance of the things that you hope for in Him).
Thank God that in your times of weakness, His Grace is sufficient and will enable you to hold on to your faith.
Meditate on your last test, consider how much your faith has increased.
May God "teach you to number your days, that you may gain a heart of wisdom" (Psalm 90:12, NKJV). Love Ya Webster
