Joshua 1:8 NKJV

8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

Listen in as God commissions Joshua to succeed Moses and lead the children of Israel into the promise land.

Notice:

  1. The written Word of God should be a part of you, live it and speak it,(not depart from your mouth).
  2. Meditate upon the Word day and night,(all the time).
  3. If you meditate on the Word you will follow all the commandments written within the Word.
  4. Meditating on the Word continuously will make your way prosperous, (wealth in God).
  5. You will have good success.

Point: God makes it clear to Joshua that His Word…

  • Has all authority,
  • Requires constant reading and studying, (meditate day and night).
  • Is powerful, (will cause to prosper and have good success).
  • Is life giving, (should be in the mouth).
  • Is sufficient for victorious living.

Child of God:

The Holy Spirit is saying,  His Word is life.

  1. Read His Word, (the Bible). 
  2. Meditate in His Word, (close your eyes and ponder what you read).
  3. Allow Him to speak to you and give you application for every situation.
  4. Make the decision to follow His Word in spite of what you or the world thinks or feels.
  5. God’s Word supersedes the opinions of you and the world.

God’s Word is your life, you live move and have your being, (your complete existence is rooted and grounded in God’s Words. 

May God "teach you to number your days, that you may gain a heart of wisdom" (Psalm 90:12, NKJV).  Love Ya Webster
