Mutual Respect

Ephesians 5:21 NKJV

21 Submitting to one another in the fear of  God.

The Apostle Paul instructs the members of the church in Ephesus on Christian relationships.

Notice:

  1. They are to submit to each other.
  2. They are to willingly submit to each other.
  3. They are to submit regarding situations that please God, ( in the fear of God).

Child of God:

  • As a baptized born again believer, God wants you to fear, (reverence) Him.
  • As a baptized born again believer you are to show mutual respect for other believers.
  • As a baptized born again believer God gave you discernment concerning right and wrong.
  • When Paul writes in the fear, (reverence), of God, he is saying agree with the things God agrees with.
  • Paul is saying willingly surrender your will in matters where God will be glorified, and the believer edified.

Meditate on the unity in the Body when there is mutual respect

Meditate on the power to spread the Gospel when there is mutual respect.

Thank God for the Fruit of the Spirit that enables you to submit to the Word of God.

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 1:2 NKJV).
