Godly Counsel
Proverbs 20:18 KJV
18 Every purpose is established by counsel: and with good advice make war.
King Soloman writes these wise words regarding the necessity of seeking sound counsel.
Notice:
1. Every purpose, (plan) is established by counsel.
2. With wise, (good) counsel,(advise), war is waged.
What is Soloman saying?
• Seek godly advice before engaging in battle.
• Count the cost, (consider every angle), before engaging in battle.
• There is safety in war with allies.
Question: Who is the first person to seek counsel from?
a.) Holy Spirit of God is your first and best counsel.
Question: Where is the safest place for the believer?
a.) The safest place for the believer is in the will of God.
Meditate on the hedge of protection that God has around you.
Thank God for the safety of the Holy Spirit.
Thank God that He deigns, (condescends), with you to provide Godly wisdom.
