Divine Prayer
2 Thessalonians 2:16-17 NKJV
16 Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and our God and Father, who has loved us and given us everlasting consolation and good hope by grace, 17 comfort your hearts and establish you in every good word and work.
In this chapter Paul writes to the church regarding the sequences of events preceding the tribulation. He encourages them to hold on to the teaching he gave them; he also lets them know that he is constantly praying for them.
Paul states that Jesus and God the Father has loved them and given eternal comfort and hope. He continues with prays that…
- The Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and God the Father…
- Would give them everlasting consolation and good hope.
- Both Jesus and God would comfort their hearts.
- Jesus and God would establish them in every good word and work.
Child of God:
- You have these benefits today.
- Jesus prayed for you in the Garden of Gethsemane,(John 17:20-26).
- Do not be moved by what you see in the natural,(chaos, corruption, wickedness, etc. in the world).
- Know that the prayer that Paul prayed for the Thessalonian church, Jesus prayed for you.
Meditate on the truth that…
- Jesus prayed that you would to be one with Him and the Father.
- Jesus prayed that you would be made perfect in Them.
- Jesus prayer that you would be protected from the powers of darkness.
- Jesus prayed that you would be kept in this world.
- Jesus prayed that you would be with Him and behold His Glory.
Thank God for the Divine Prayer that you received from the love of the Father and Son along with the indwelling Holy Spirit, (the Godhead).
May God "teach you to number your days, that you may gain a heart of wisdom" (Psalm 90:12, NKJV). Love Ya Webster
