Make The Right Decision
Matthew 6:24 NKJV
24 “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.
Here Jesus is teaching His disciples and the crowd.
Notice:
- No one, male or female, rich or poor, whatever the ethnicity, no one…
- Can serve TWO masters.
- Why?
- You will either love and hold fast to one .
- Or You will hate and despise the other.
Jesus makes it clear what two masters He is talking about, He says…
- You cannot serve God and mammon, (the world).
Child of God, sometimes we have hard decisions to make.
- On the job when your supervisor wants you to compromise your principles, (make unfair decisions for the benefit of the company).
- Tell a family member or friend that you cannot condone their behavior. (you may want to keep peace and unity in the family).
- When you have a business partner who is unscrupulous, (you may be looking for financial security)
- When you attend a church that is not governed by the Word of God.
Hear what God is saying to you today.
- Make the choice that lines up with the Word of God.
- Consider who your allegiance is with today.
Meditate on your choice of God over the world.
Thank God for the Holy Spirit who will alert you when you are tempted to make a choice to serve the world.
May God "teach you to number your days, that you may gain a heart of wisdom" (Psalm 90:12, NKJV). Love Ya Webster
