One Mind/One Mouth

Romans 15: 5,6 NKJV

Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesusthat you may with one mind and one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

In this chapter Paul is teaching these Roman Christians that the strong are to support the weak.

In verses 5,6 he prays for them;  he prays that they may have strength from God to follow His teaching, (love one another as God loves them).

Notice:

  1. He prays to God, the God of patience and consolation.
  2. He prays that God will enable them to come together in the unity of
Christ, (be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus).
  3. He prays that  they may glorify God in unity, (one mind and one mouth).
  4. He prays that they would glorify God the Father , (through their unity in Christ Jesus).

Child of God:

  • The Holy Spirit is saying to you today…
  1. Join the universal Church of God, (the Body of Christ).
  2. Being a member of the Body of Christ supersedes all human organizations.
  3. When you are in unity in this Body of Christ you support the weaker brother and sister.
  4. When you are a member of the Body of Christ your mind and mouth will edify the Body, and glorify God the Father of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
  • Take a moment and meditate on the unity of your mind and mouth.
  • Meditate on the day that you joined the Church of the Living God!
  • Seek to support the new believer.

Thank God for Jesus who sits at the Right Hand of God the Father praying for unity in His Body now.

May God "teach you to number your days, that you may gain a heart of wisdom" (Psalm 90:12, NKJV).  Love Ya Webster
