A Powerful Outpouring
Joel 2:28-29 NKJV
28“ And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit upon all flesh;
Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions. 29 And also on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days.
The prophet Joel prophesies to the kingdom of Judah. After a devastating plague, there will be a powerful outpouring of the Spirit of God in order to bring restoration.
Notice:
1. God will pour His Spirit on all people.
2. Sons & daughter will prophesy.
3. Old man will have dreams.
4. Young men will see visions.
5. God’s male and female servants alike will receive an outpouring of His Spirit.
This prophesy was fulfilled in the New Testament, (Acts 2: 17-18).
Child of God, the Holy Spirit is saying to you today…
• Review your life.
• If you have not yet experienced God’s outpouring of His Spirit upon you:
a.) Take a moment to talk to God now.
b.) Open your heart to receive the blessings He has for you.
c.) Ask God to pour out His Spirit upon you.
• If you have experienced God’s outpouring of His Spirit upon you:
a.) Reflect upon the mighty work He has done in your life.
b.) Reflect upon the situations God has worked out for you during these difficult years.
Thank God from the depths of your heart for His presence in your life.
Meditate on God’s powerful outpouring by His Spirit .
