One Decision Makes A Difference

Romans 5:17-19 NKJV 

  17 For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ. 18 Therefore, as through one man’s offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man’s righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life. 19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.                                                                                                                                                                 

Paul writes to the church in Rome.

Notice the contrast between the two men Adam and Christ.

Adam

Action

Sin of disobedience, (eating from the tree of knowledge of good and evil).

Results

  1. Death rules over everyone.
  2. Condemnation to everyone.
  3. Everyone became a sinner.

Christ

Action

Obedience - death on the cross.

Results

  1. Many will be made right in the sight of God.
  2. All who receive this gift of justification, (cleared of all charges), will live in triumph over sin & death.
  3. All who accept Jesus are made right in God’s sight.

Today as a baptized born again believer:

  1. Your decision to accept Jesus made the difference between life and death.
  2. You do not have to be punished for your inherited sin, (disobedience of Adam).
  3. You no longer have to fear death.
  4. You have special status with God, (God’s child).

Meditate on the life that you have since you accepted Jesus as Lord, (CEO), of your life.

Take a moment to thank God for your new life.

Thank God for saving faith to make the right decision.
