In His Presence

Psalms .63:1-5 NKJV

1. O God, You are my God; Early will I seek You; My soul thirsts for You; My flesh longs for You In a dry and thirsty land Where there is no water. So I have looked for You in the sanctuary, To see Your power and Your glory. Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, My lips shall praise You. Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name. My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness, And my mouth shall praise You with joyful lips.

This is David’s pray to God when he is in the desert.

Notice:

  1. David acknowledges God as his personal God.
  2. David is searching for God.
    1. To the point of his soul thirsting.
    2. To the point of his body longing.
  3. David is in the desert.
    1. The land is dry & weary.
    2. There is no water.
  4. David remembers a time when he was in the presence of God.
    1. In the sanctuary.
    2. Gazing upon God’s power & glory.
  5. God’s unfailing love is better than life.
  6. David makes promises to God.
    1. To praise God.
    2. To honor God.
    3. To pray with his hands lifted up.
    4. To praise with songs of joy.
  7. In the desert the presence of God satisfies David more than dinning on the richest foods.

Child of God, today as a baptized born again believer:

  1. You have the assurance that Jesus is your personal Lord & God.
  2. His presence is always with you, (you never have to search for Him).
  3. When you are hungry & thirsty.
    1. Jesus gives you living water.
    2. Jesus gives you the bread of life.
  4. In God’s presence you experience His power & glory.
  5. Jesus loves you with a love that is everlasting.

           a) Unconditional love.

  1. Take a moment to tell Jesus.
    1. You will praise Him.
    2. You will honor Him.
    3. You will sing songs of joy to Him.

Meditate on Him as you sit in His presence.

May the peace of God rest upon you, love ya,  Webster
