Not Just You
Philippians 2:3-4 NKJV
3.Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. 4 Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others .
Paul writes to the church in Philippi.
Notice the advice he gives them:
- Don’t do things for selfish or conceited reasons.
- Be humble.
- Put others first.
- Be concerned for the welfare of others.
Child of God:
The Holy Spirit is speaking to you today.
- Question yourself about your motives.
- Examine how you respond to others.
- Make a conscious decision to listen to others with your heart.
- Be purposeful in treating others as God treats you.
- Be purposeful in looking for opportunities to serve others.
Meditate on the last time someone did something unselfish for you.
God wants you to share that warm feeling that you are now experiencing with someone else.
Thank God for giving you the opportunity to recognize that it is not just you.
