Be Like Your Brother

John 15:10 NKJV

10 If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.

The Apostle John records these Words of Jesus spoken to the apostles to stress the love and joy of the Father for His saints.

Notice:

  1. If you keep My commandments you will abide in My love.
  2. Just like I have kept My Father’s commandments, and I abide in His love.

Child of God…

  • You were created to be conformed to the image of Jesus, (Romans 8:29).
  • Reading, studying, and living the Word of God, will results in keeping His commandments.
  • Keeping His commandments means you love Him, (John 14:15).
  • If you love Him and keep His commandments you are being conformed to His image.
  • You are an heir of  God and joint heir with Jesus, He is your brother, ( Matthew 12:48-50).
  • Abiding  in Him makes you like Him.

Meditate on the image of Christ in you.

Look in the mirror and see your reflection that looks like the Son.

Thank God that you can say, I look like my Brother.
