 Run The Race

Hebrews 12:1 NKJV

12 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.

In the previous chapter the writer of this letter shared the history of people with strong faith. His goal was to give this Christian church an example of Old Testament saints who held on to their faith in spite of adversity.

Now he encourages them to stand strong, ( Run The Race)!!

Notice:

  1. After all, you have a rich heritage, (surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses).
  2. Put aside, (stop it), any and all temptations that lead to sin.
  3. These sins will lead you into traps designed to destroy you.
  4. Run the race that God has set before you with the power God has given you.

Child of God, the Holy Spirit is saying…

  • Run the Race!!
  • Trials come and go, be confident that God has given you the faith to run with endurance, (power in God).
  • God has given you the endurance to be victorious in the difficult times.
  • Draw on the power of the Holy Spirit.
  • Ask God to direct you to a person of strong faith who you can align yourself with.

Meditate on the voice of God speaking to you now saying RUN THE RACE!

Thank God for the Fruit of the Spirit that He is developing in you.

Thank God for strong faith.
