Born Of God
John 1:12,13 NKJV
12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
We read in John chapter one the revelation that God gave John the apostle regarding Jesus as God, Jesus as the Word, Jesus as Eternal, Jesus as Creator, and Jesus as Savior.
John the apostle shares the relationship between Jesus the Savior and John the Baptist the forerunner who prepared the world for the earthly ministry of Jesus the Redeemer.
Notice:
In these verses John the apostle writes about Jesus the Redeemer.
1. All who receive Jesus the Savior were given the right by Him to become children of God.
2. All who believe on His Name, (salvation in the Name of Jesus), were born…
a.) Not by natural birth,(male and female union), but by God.
b.) This is the new birth.
For the baptized born again believer…
• Believing on the Name of Jesus,(salvation in His Name), will results in…
a.) The right to call God Father.
b.) The right to call Jesus your brother and friend.
c.) The right to claim the inheritance of your Father, (eternal life)
d.) The blessing of abundant life here along with eternal life with Jesus.
Point : You are a new creation in Christ Jesus, (new birth).
Meditate on the truth that you are a child of God.
Meditate on the truth that you are a born of God.
Meditate on the truth that your past will not dictate your future,(old things are passed away.
Thank God for forgiveness.
Thank God for Jesus.
Thank God that you are His child.
May God "teach you to number your days, that you may gain a heart of wisdom" (Psalm 90:12, NKJV). Love Ya Webster
