Contentment
1 Timothy 6: 6 NKJV
6 Now godliness with contentment is great gain.
In this chapter Paul continues his instructions to Timothy regarding sound teaching.
In this verse the emphasis is placed on contentment in God.
Notice:
1. Godliness with contentment is great gain.
a.) Godliness – conforming to the wishes of God.
b.) Contentment - state of happiness and satisfaction.
c.) Great - an amount considerably above the average.
d.) Gain - something desired.
Child of God, the Holy Spirit is saying to you today that…
• Living according to His will and way will bring about your desired state of a blessed and happy life.
• This should be the desire of the baptized born again believer, to live in the presence of God totally submitted to His will and His way.
• Enjoying the Good Life is what God wants for you.
• Contentment is what God wants for you.
Meditate on the worry free life that you can enjoy when you are submitted to the will and way of God.
Meditate on the contentment that you can experience living a godly life.
Thank God for a Good Life in Him
May the Lord be with your spirit (2 Timothy 4: 22 a).
