Take Heed

Luke 12:15 NKJV

15 And He said to them, “Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses.”

In this chapter Jesus is teaching His disciples and the multitude the need to consider various things.

In this verse He addresses a young man with considerable wealth who wants his brother to divide their inheritance.

Notice…TAKE HEED

  1. Beware of covetousness, (strong desire to have  what belongs to someone else).
  2. Life does not consist of the abundance of things we possess.

Child of God:

Know that your blessings are not predicated on material things.

It is Not Good to evaluate your worth based on your material possessions, ( they will fade away).

  • Take heed to your divine blessings.
  • You are blessed because you are a child of God,( you can call Him Father, Daddy).
  • You are blessed because your name is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.
  • You are blessed because you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.
  • You are blessed because you are an heir of God and a joint heir with Jesus.
  • You are blessed because you have eternal life,(eternity in the presence of God Almighty).

Meditate on your life in Christ that will not fade away.

Thank God for His Good blessing of eternal life with Him.

May the Lord be with your spirit (2 Timothy 4 :22 a).
