Serious Consequences
Deuteronomy 28: 58,59 NKJV
58 “If you do not carefully observe all the words of this law that are written in this book, that you may fear this glorious and awesome name, THE LORD YOUR GOD, 59 then the LORD will bring upon you and your descendants extraordinary plagues—great and prolonged plagues—and serious and prolonged sicknesses.

In chapter 28 of Deuteronomy Moses tells the children of Israel about the blessings received for obedience to the Word of God, and consequences,(curses) for disobedience.
Notice:
1. If they carefully observe and do all the Laws given by God:
a.) This will cause them to fear,(reverence) God.
b.) They will know that the Name of the Lord is Glorious and Awesome.
2. If they don’t reverence the Name of the Lord:
a.) God will bring upon them and their descendants.
Extraordinary plagues.
Great and prolonged sickness.
WOW!!!

Child of God, as a baptized born again believer this is not a fear,(fright/afraid), that you should have, but a fear,(reverence/deep respect) that you must have!
Jesus fulfilled the Law,(what humankind is unable to do).
Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to teach you all thing concerning Him.
God joined the Holy Spirit with your spirit, and He is developing the Fruit of the Spirit in you,(His nature).
The Holy Spirit woos you, so you want to spend time in His presence.
The Holy Spirit convicts you so you fear, (reverence), Him and want to do His will.
God gave the Church sixty six  Inspired Books, (The Bible) to teach you about Him and His will for you.  Read your Bible!

Meditate on the work of the Holy Spirit in you that causes you to recognize the serious consequences for obedience and disobediences.
Thank God for His Son Jesus who made it all possible.                                                                                 May God "teach you to number your days, that you may gain a heart of wisdom" (Psalm 90:12, NKJV).
