Sight Unseen

1 Peter 1:8 NKJV

whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory,

1 Peter 1:8 NLT

You love him even though you have never seen him. Though you do not see him now, you trust him; and you rejoice with a glorious, inexpressible joy.

In this chapter Peter writes to encourage the persecuted Church. He reminds them in verse 8 that…

  1. They loved Christ without seeing Him.
  2. They have put their trust in Him.
  3. Even though they are being persecuted, they are blessed with a glorious inexpressible joy.
  4. There is no greater delight than the joy of and in Jesus.

Child of God:

  • Take this verse to heart.
  • In this modern society where secular religion is encouraged, you may be experiencing persecution for your stand for right, (Jesus the only way of salvation, Jesus the way the truth and the light/life).
  • Rest in the joy of the Lord who is blessing you with a glorious inexpressible joy.

Meditate on the greatest  delight you will ever have, joy as a baptized born again believer in Jesus the Christ.

Thank God for faith that causes you to believe in the ONE that you have not yet seen!

Thank God for joy unspeakable JOY.

May God "teach you to number your days, that you may gain a heart of wisdom" (Psalm 90:12, NKJV).  Love Ya Webster
