Know Number One

Mark 12: 28-30 NKJV

28 Then one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, perceiving that He had answered them well, asked Him, “Which is the first commandment of all?” 29 Jesus answered him, “The first of all the commandments is: ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. 30 And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment.

Here we note Jesus’ response to one of the scribes. The scribe asked, “Which is the first commandment of all?”

Notice, Jesus says:

  1. The first thing is to  hear, (He that has an ear let him hear).
  2. The Lord, “our” God, who is the universal God, is one Lord.
  3. You are to…
  1. Love Him with all your heart.
  2. Love Him with all your soul.
  3. Love Him with all your mind.
  4. Love Him with all your strength.
  1. This is the first commandment.

Child of God:

The Holy Spirit is speaking to you  the baptized born again believer today.

  • This commandment from God is not an option.
  • This commandment from God is not up for debate.
  • This commandment from God must be number one in your life.
  • When this is number in your life, you will…
  1. Be in the will of God.
  2. Accomplish your purpose in God.
  3. Love as God loves.

Take time now to Meditate on your priorities.

Thank God for His indwelling Holy Spirit that causes you to know Who Is number One
