Beware !!

Ecclesiastes 5: 10,11 NKJV

10 He who loves silver will not be satisfied with silver; Nor he who loves abundance, with increase. This also is vanity. 11 When goods increase, They increase who eat them; So, what profit have the owners Except to see them with their eyes?

Ecclesiastes 5: 10,11 NLT

10 Those who love money will never have enough. How meaningless to think that wealth brings true happiness! 11 The more you have, the more people come to help you spend it. So what good is wealth—except perhaps to watch it slip through your fingers!

Here king Solomon, the son of king David writes about the futility of wealth to bring fulfillment.

Notice:

  1. The person who loves silver will never be satisfied with silver.
  2. No matter how much he/she has, they will not be fulfilled, (it is  all in vain/futile).
  3. As the silver, (wealth) increases the person also increases.
  4. As that person increases in wealth more people come to partake in the increase.
  5. The results is that the owner watches the wealth, (silver) disappear.

Child of God…

  • Jesus said seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and everything else will be given, (Matthew 6:33). .
  • Paul wrote that the love of money is the root of all evil, (1 Timothy 6:19).
  • Jesus said that where your treasure is, there will be your heart, (Matthew 6:21).

Today consider where your heart is, (your love).

Beware of  a thirst for empty love, (love for material things).

Meditate on the greatest Lover who died for you before you accepted Him as Lord and Savior.

Thank God for His Love that is poured into your heart by the Holy Spirit.

May God bless you with his special favor and wonderful peace as you come to know Jesus, our God and Lord, better and better (2 Peter 1:2 NLT).

Love You Webster
